We are so fortunate. Through a generous donation, we were able to develop math backpacks for every classroom at the Elementary School. At this point, grades K-4 have 3 packs in each homeroom and 5th grade has 2 packs. The backpacks contain at least three activites or games and a book related to an age appropriate math concept. On a rotating basis, students take the math backpack home for the week. We have asked parents to work with their child for at least 10 minutes per day on one or more activities in the bag.
The primary grades are wrapping up the first round and we are ready to set them up for the next rotation. Mrs. Liccion is working on the K and 1st grade bags and Mrs. Streeter is working on 2nd grade. The packs for grades 3 - 5 will finish up in a few weeks.
